Vanguard is the latest addition to our fleet. She is an ex-New South Wales (Australian) Police boat and will be available for charter from July 23rd 2008. More details will follow soon.
LC SHIFTER
LC Shifter is an ex Royal Marines LCVP (Landing craft vehicle personnel) mk4 just released from service. It is a very versatile craft with unsurpassed build quality, Shifter can access the most remote locations inaccessible by road allowing
maintenance and inspection work to be carried out. With the vast amount of deck space Shifter is able to carry bulky heavy machinery, and with the bow door and 5 tonne hydraulic crane, loading and unloading is made simple from any location.
Shifter has been used for shallow water surveys over sand banks where conventional vessels were unable to operate due to the risk of grounding, it can operate in extremely shallow water with a draught of 75cms at the stern, with twin Perkins 6 cylinder turbo diesel engines it has no problem pulling off the beach after being loaded with 5.5 tonnes of equipment. Shifter is fitted with a top of the range Raymarine plotter, radar and sounder carrying all necessary safety equipment.
LC Shifter is coded for day or night operations up to 20 miles from safe haven but with the extensive wheel house extensions and crew/passenger well deck canopy alterations which are planned for the end of the season (see line drawing) it will be upgraded to category 2 (60nm).
TITAN
Titan our Barbarian 8.8m wheelhouse R.I.B is MCA
(Maritime Coastguard Agency) coded to Category 2 (60nm from safe haven day or night).
Titan is fully kitted out with the latest electronic navigation instruments, including radar, GPS chart plotter and sounder. She carries state of the art lifesaving equipment, including life raft, EPIRB and Jasons cradle for safely retrieving casualties from the water.
The inboard Yanmar 315hp turbo diesel engine with duo-prop drive gives Titan a top speed of 35 knots making it one of the fastest, safest vessels in its class.
Titan can be transported by both road and by sea making delivery anywhere in the UK achievable within 24 hours.
KIRKSPRAY
Possibly the fastest charter boat on the East coast, fully insured and licensed for category 2 operations for 12 passengers and 2 crew, Kirkspray is powered by 2 brand new Yanmar 440hp inboard diesels with Arneson surface drives allowing for shallow water operation and giving a top speed of 45 knots making it an ideal vessel for long haul trips. The electronics package and internet access is all brand new and state of the art.
Kirkspray has a massive rear deck area and removable over board brackets for survey gear. Its rear door allows survey gear to be deployed and recovered over the stern with ease.
With a large heated cabin, toilet, galley and bunks it makes a exceptionally comfortable survey vessel and luxury charter boat for long periods at sea.
TIGA
Our 10.2 metre passanger RIB, has just had a new spacious, sleek glass Kevlar composite 14 pax wheelhouse commissioned, when fitted it will provide a dry ride for personnel in transit. It is powered by twin Evinrude 175hp outboards and is capable of speeds of 35 knots, Ideally suited to crew transfer it provides adequate comfortable seating for 12 passengers and 2 crew, fitted with a Raymarine electronics package. Tiga is MCA coded to Category 3. Tiga is another vessel that can be easily road transported allowing delivery within 24 hours to any UK destination.
Tiga can be easily adapted from a crew transfer vessel to suit most marine applications, the interior seating can be quickly removed allowing space for survey equipment or for the dry carriage of victuals, equipment etc to ships.
PER MARE
Is an 8.4 metre Avon Sea Rider military spec. heavy duty commercial wheelhouse Rib, it is powered by twin 225hp V6 Honda EFi outboards fitted with 10ins hydraulic transom jacks giving an impressive speed of 45 knots, onboard electronics include Raymarine chart plotter, sounder, fish finder and Icom dsc radio.
New sponsons have been commisioned by Henshaws in rescue orange 1200gsm Hypalon with a closed cell foam bow section with an internal bladder to our own specification and are to be fitted soon making it ideal for crew access or egress to fixed installations or other vessels whilst at sea.
FOSSER
Built in 1994, Fosser is a 18.29m x 5.24m x 0.91m Smalley 470 Excavator. Fosser has 2 x hydraulic spud legs and 2x 10 tonne winches operated from the Excavator. Powered by a Lister diesel Fire pump and with 6.5Kva Gen set. Fosser is of 10mm all steel welded construction with 5 water tight compartments. It has a swim end and towing bollards, Kee clamp safety rail, Flood lights and rubbing strake all round. IRPCS working symbols / lights. Other equipmewnt includes a Raymarine colour sounder and DGPS, VHF, radar reflector. Jason's cradle floating stretcher, life raft and Mess room.
